Our client, a growing and well-established organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys owning the month-end close process, performing detailed reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring financial accuracy across the organization.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience working within a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage large volumes of financial data are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day transactional accounting activities and general ledger maintenance
• Execute month-end close procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and account analysis
• Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations with complete supporting documentation
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items
• Assist with financial reporting and preparation of supporting schedules
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and timely documentation
• Help prepare audit-ready financial statements and related workpapers
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company internal controls
• Analyze financial information and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting accuracy
• Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support accounting initiatives
• Utilize NetSuite to manage accounting activities and reporting functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations required
• Experience working within NetSuite required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles
• Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation capabilities
• Ability to manage and analyze large data sets efficiently
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Experience supporting financial audits and preparing audit-ready financial statements
• Background within oilfield services, energy, or related industries is a plus
• Experience improving accounting processes and controls
