Senior Enterprise Architect

Senior Enterprise Architect National Interstate is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to lead the long-term architectural vision for the organization. Responsibilities Define and drive the long-term enterprise architecture vision, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technology investments across the organization. Partner with business and IT leadership to shape technology roadmaps, influence strategic initiatives, and ensure enterprise architecture supports business transformation and innovation. Ensure current and future business needs are met through scalable, sustainable, and adaptable technology solutions. Establish and govern enterprise-wide standards, frameworks, and reference architectures to promote consistency and interoperability across platforms and business units. Lead the evaluation of emerging technologies, assessing their strategic fit and potential impact on enterprise capabilities and competitive advantage. Provide guidance on complex technology decisions, balancing risk, performance, and business priorities. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing enterprise technology strategy and investment decisions. Possibly oversee performance and coaching of staff, and participate in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 14 years’ experience in enterprise architecture or a related field. Progress toward or completion of professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent cloud/architecture credentials. Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, and modern architecture platforms. Knowledge of enterprise data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and AI agents. Strong software development background. Ability to set enterprise architecture vision and direct multi‑year roadmaps that drive business transformation. Demonstrated experience in enterprise/solution architecture across multiple domains, and leading large‑scale modernization and optimization efforts. Expert knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and EA methods and artifacts. Proven ability to translate strategy into target/transition architectures and rationalize portfolios with clear cost‑benefit. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Experience in leading multi‑team initiatives and mentoring architects and technical leaders.
