Tax Associate Attorney – Investment Funds & Fund Formation – Chicago, IL

Am Law Firm | Venture Capital & Private Equity Funds | $235,000–$365,000

Base Salary: $235,000–$365,000 | Depending on Experience and Qualifications

Aligned Talent Acquisition is partnering with a nationally recognized Am Law firm seeking a talented Tax Associate Attorney to join its sophisticated investment funds practice in Chicago, IL .

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys complex tax matters involving venture capital and private equity funds and wants to work closely with experienced attorneys, fund sponsors, and investors on sophisticated investment structures and transactions.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of tax experience , preferably representing investment fund sponsors and investors.

• Experience advising on venture capital funds, private equity funds, and investment fund formations .

• Familiarity with primary and secondary investments and joint venture structures .

• Strong tax research, drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience managing multiple concurrent matters in a fast-paced transactional environment.

• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

• A proactive, motivated, and collaborative approach to client service.

The Opportunity

The firm's sophisticated tax practice advises fund sponsors, investors, and other market participants on complex tax matters involving investment funds and transactions.

Attorneys will have opportunities to:

• Advise on tax aspects of venture capital and private equity fund formations .

• Represent fund sponsors and investors in sophisticated investment fund matters.

• Provide tax guidance on primary and secondary investments .

• Advise on joint ventures and related investment structures .

• Collaborate with experienced attorneys across transactional practice groups.

• Develop meaningful client relationships while taking on increasing responsibility.
