What you will bring Experience working as a Registered Veterinary Technician; knowledge with preparation and administration of various chemotherapeutic agents a plus. Open to consider those with considerable veterinary assistant or uncredentialed technician experience in a Veterinary Assistant Level 4 position. Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a must. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required. Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected. Honesty, integrity and a desire to learn and have fun! Responsibilities Oversee appointments and manage clients throughout their visit. Participate with the Oncologist’s in‑patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures. Obtain and process laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates. Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient and procedural assessment such as radiography and CT. Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events. Ensure accuracy in calculating and delivering anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRIs. Review and understand all medical records pertinent to patient care. Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients and be a strong patient advocate during hospitalization. Maintain all equipment on a per-use basis ensuring safety and best practice care of all patients. Provide extensive client communication and education on various oncology disease processes. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Sign‑on Bonus: $3,000 for licensed technicians. Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 7:30am - 6:00pm.
