Paralegal

We’re bringing in a new Paralegal to join one of our growing team! Historically, our firm has welcomed paralegal hires who have just started out on their professional journey and are looking to gain experience as well as those who bring a wealth of experience with them from prior roles. Role/Title: Paralegal Starting Salary Range: 65k-75K Team Structure: (1) Attorney Direct Report, an intake and case initiation team, shared discovery paralegal, and settlement disbursement specialist. Overview of the Responsibilities Assigned to this role: Many of these responsibilities should be considered shared with the team. Provide caring communication and consistent service to clients on pre-litigation and litigation procedures and case details. Manage direct correspondence with medical providers, legal services vendors, opposing counsel, court personnel and any professional party associated with the teams’ assigned cases. Open case claims and sending out appropriate documentation at case openings. Manage the team’s case calendar including scheduled calls, meetings, and any Drafting pleadings, discovery, and other correspondence pertaining to active litigation proceedings. Manage filing for new and active litigation proceedings. Manage your client’s digital file during the litigation process along with any physical materials or evidence necessary for litigation proceedings. Manage and proactively conduct regular case list reviews to support strategic planning with the Attorney for your clients cases. Preferred Skills, Experience, Credentials: Highly Preferred - We are seeking a candidate with at least 1 or 2 years’ hands-on experience with most, if not all the responsibilities detailed in the “responsibilities” section above. Highly Preferred – For a candidate to thrive in this role they will need strong and practiced communication skills using multiple methods like, email, phone, text, and standard data entry systems or legal case software. We will provide software training for any candidate in this role, but experience with a legal CRM is preferred. Highly Preferred - Experience in managing tasks and communication across at least 80-150 active cases. Required - GED or Highschool Diploma, authorized to work in the United States.
