This facility provides specialized hematology and oncology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, maintaining established protocols for comprehensive cancer and blood disorder treatment delivery. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system to support coordinated, high-quality patient care across clinical teams. Dedicated support systems are in place to ensure continuity of care for hematologic and oncologic patient populations.

Northeast Missouri offers a range of recreational and cultural activities for visiting clinicians. The area features galleries with exhibits on prehistoric creatures, the American West, Civil War artifacts, and Native American collections, alongside narrated trolley tours and scenic river cruises. Parks, lakes, and beaches provide additional options for outdoor recreation throughout the year.

The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology coverage during day and night shifts, managing 18-25 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and managing hematologic and oncologic conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings. Call coverage is required at a 1:3 ratio, and clinicians must maintain documentation through the Epic EMR system for all patient encounters and treatment planning activities. Board certification in Medical Oncology is required for this assignment.
