Address Peekskill, NY Compensation $23.00/hour $19-$20/hr Schedule Full time Job Type Permanent Description The Spirit of the Position: TheParking EnforcementSupervisoroversees andleadsparking enforcement operationsthrough upholding and enforcing the parkingregulations/restrictions of the local parking ordinances. Principal Job Duties: Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested. Meet / Exceed monthly citation quota for self & enforcement team. Makes daily work assignments, assigning staff to patrol specific routes or areas to enforce parking ordinances. Prepares work schedules to ensure adequate coverage for special events. Monitors field activities by making site visits to ensure proper enforcement of parking regulations and restrictions. Transports Parking Enforcement officers to and from assigned patrol areas as required. Trains staff on the provisions of parking ordinances and procedures for writing and issuing fee notices for violations. Reviews work activity reports and evaluates work performance of subordinate staff. Evaluates the number of parking fee notices issued on various routes and makes changes in work assignments to increase productivity. Meets with subordinate staff to discuss and resolve problems relating to field activities. Prepares productivity reports for management review. Monitor on-street parking meters for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route. Maintain and care for all company issued equipment and vehicles. Uphold uniform and brand standards. Promote and model safe driving techniques. Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Experience: A minimum of2-3years of outdoor work experience is preferred. Supervisory experience required. Security, military or parking enforcement experience preferred. Skills: Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude). Ability to work independently and multi-task. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness. Must be open to feedback, differing opinions, and other points of view. Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Physical Demands: Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push and pull at least25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift) - no sitting is allowed. Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
