Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) in Crescent City, California. This position involves providing direct nursing care to a diverse patient population, utilizing clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The role includes leadership responsibilities and adherence to professional standards within a hospital or healthcare setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: A California Registered Nurse (RN) license, and certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience, with at least 5 years of patient ratio experience, and experience charting in Epic.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital environments, LTAC, or trauma level II settings is preferred.
• Certifications: Must be uploaded with valid expiration dates, and should be from AHA or ARC
• Skills: Accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tubes, CVA, feeding tube care, Heparin protocols, interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry monitoring, Tracheostomy care, rapid response, wound care, and use of specialized equipment.
• Additional Information: The position involves managing care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients, with an average census of 17 patients per day. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation.
• Onboarding & Compliance: Labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing; 7-year work history verification required; all documents due 10 days prior to start; modules are non-billable and completed during orientation.
