Accounting Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a company near Mount Prospect, IL with a search for an accounting specialist. This a temporary to hire role and onsite. They are looking for someone that can handle accounts payable and assist with month end close.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process accounts payable
- Ensure payment accuracy and approvals
- Check runs
- Communicate with vendors and manage accounts
- Discrepancy resolution
- Reconcile vendor statements and bank statements
- Manage the 1099 and W9 process
- Month end accruals and prepaids
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts
- Reports for month end close
- Back up accounts receivable
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience in accounts payable and month end close
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and be detailed
- Collaborative in a team environment
Preferred:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or similar
Pay: $27-$31/hour
