As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Kansas City, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct screening procedures, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this role, you will remain visible, help to discourage security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries at designated entry points while following access control procedures and documenting security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, screening stations, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with job duties and working conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
