Physical Therapist Assistant

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric Salary Range: $27.51 - $29.33 per hour Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, no weekend rotation. Full-time. Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and provide specialized care to our geriatric patients. In this role, you will work alongside our team of physical therapists to help improve the mobility, strength, and overall well-being of our elderly patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with the geriatric population and making a positive impact in their lives. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the physical therapist in evaluating and developing treatment plans for geriatric patients
• Implement treatment plans and provide hands-on therapy to patients
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve mobility and function
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients during therapy sessions
• Keep up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in physical therapy and apply them to patient care
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients
• Strong understanding of geriatric conditions and treatment techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records
