Precision, contract machining business is looking for an experienced Assembler.
Job responsibilities: Highly repetitive, simple short cycle mechanical assembly following prescribed routing or where method of assembly is obvious. Work is typically performed at a bench and may include standing or walking. Light painting in a filtered paint booth is also a daily activity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Removing and installing common hardware and fasteners.
- Light painting.
- Reading routers, blueprints, and work instructions to identify components and specifications that are necessary for assembly conformance.
- Inspection of products before, during and after assembly processes.
- Identify and document product defects.
- Recording time and quantity for job tracking.
- Maintain inventory of product / hardware in workstation.
- Maintaining a neat and orderly workspace.
SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Dependable.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Great attention to detail.
- Experience reading blueprints and following written instructions.
- Experience using common hand and power tools and operating fastener installation machines.
- Experience painting with a respirator and a paint booth is preferred.
- Manufacturing and/or machine shop experience is preferred.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
