Overview The Barback at KYU supports bartenders by ensuring the bar is fully stocked, clean, and organized, enabling a smooth and efficient beverage service. The Barback manages inventory, assists with drink preparation, and maintains a clean and orderly bar area. This role works closely with bartenders and kitchen staff to uphold the restaurant’s high standards. Responsibilities Assist bartenders with drink preparation and service during peak hours. Manage and maintain bar inventory, including restocking supplies and organizing storage areas. Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety standards. Handle glassware, utensils, and other bar equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good condition. Remove empty bottles, glasses, and trash from the bar area promptly. Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar for service. Monitor inventory levels and report needs to the Bar Manager. Collaborate with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Provide support in training new bar staff as needed. Maintain a positive and proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or in a high-volume bar environment. Basic knowledge of bar operations and equipment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Motivated and self-directed with a willingness to learn and grow. Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment. Benefits Medical Insurance.
