Full time Night Shift**Cardiac Techs** help aid the RNs throughout the prep and recovery of our Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiac OR patients. In our department we prep and recover 20 - 30 patients a day. In the recovery area, the cardiac techs are trained to settle patients in the room postoperatively (hooking to the monitor, cleaning, repositioning); obtain EKGs or any specimens ordered; remove arterial and venous sheaths from the femoral, radial and brachial sites; help patients that are on bedrest with eating, toileting, or any other request per the patient; and transporting patients to their inpatient room or assisting in the discharge process.
