Registered Nurse (RN) - GI Surgery Bariatric Clinic

The Registered Nurse (RN) will operate within the GI Surgery Bariatric Clinic, providing specialized nursing care to patients. This role involves management of patient care in an ambulatory setting, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to clinical standards.

Shift and Schedule

Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Weekend Requirements: No

On-call Requirements: No

Floating Requirements

Clinicians may be required to float to similar units within the location. Potential float areas include GI medicine and possibly other closely aligned disciplines.

Patient Ratios

The staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 5 patients.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN is required.

3+ years of experience is preferred.

Experience in an ambulatory clinic, particularly within GI Surgery or surgical settings, is highly desired.

Certifications and Licenses

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Only American Heart Association (AHA) certifications are accepted.

A valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License is required.

Radius Rule

Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius for consideration. Local candidates will be accepted at a reduced rate.

Additional Notes

All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application, as approvals will be based on the facility's needs. It is important to note that during the hurricane season (June through November), all employees may be required to participate in emergency response teams.
