As an Ambassador for Airgas , the Service & Delivery Professional takes pride in the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to our local and regional business partners. Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck, you will manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting relationships with the customers you visit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cylinder Handling :Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.

• Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.

• Safety and Compliance :Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.

• Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

________________________Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:

• Valid LA Class A Commercial Driver's License.

• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.

• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.

• We are looking for a minimum of 3-5 years of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a commitment to road safety to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.

• Candidates should be at least 21 years or older.

• Proficiency in navigating and comprehending material safety data sheets.

• Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.

• Ideally, you are comfortable operating vehicles with hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also part of our daily operations.

• Availability to support the team with occasional overtime if necessary. Overtime is not guaranteed and is subject to business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (Forklift/Moffett).
