We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a pipeline-focused organization in Winter Garden, Florida. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can manage a steady volume of transactional work with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will contribute to both payables and receivables activities while maintaining organized records and timely financial documentation.
Responsibilities:• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Record incoming customer payments, apply receipts accurately, and assist with monitoring outstanding balances.
• Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high level of precision and consistency.
• Maintain up-to-date accounts payable and accounts receivable records to support daily accounting activities.
• Use QuickBooks to post transactions, review account details, and help keep financial information current.
• Investigate discrepancies in invoices, payment records, or account balances and follow through on needed corrections.
• Organize and file accounting documents so that records are easy to retrieve for reporting and audit support.• Experience handling accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities in an administrative or accounting support role.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks for entering transactions and maintaining financial records.
• Strong data entry skills with close attention to accuracy and completeness.
• Background in invoice processing, including review, coding, and tracking of payment status.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with basic office and accounting software tools.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external contacts.
