Job Details Location: Clarksville - C/S - Clarksville, AR Position type: Full Time Shift: Day Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday; 6 hours flex Pay: $12.55 Education level: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Summary The Direct Support Professional works on an interdisciplinary team that delivers superior quality of service and provides appropriate activities in a safe and healthy environment within the home and community setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist clients with basic living skills and daily personal tasks, including showers, dressing, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation and planning, and financial budgeting. Provide transportation to and from activities and appointments as needed, requiring a valid Arkansas driver’s license. Maintain good communication via facility logbook, staff meetings, and other appropriate means regarding clients’ needs and progress toward their plan of care by the end of each shift. Accurately complete all required documentation mandated by FCC, such as behavioral reports, incident reports, complaint forms, personal care worksheets, requisitions, maintenance forms, progress reports, monthly attendance logs, and other necessary documentation. Follow and complete necessary documentation and maintenance of records for FTA vehicles, including all mileage and billing forms in compliance with Medicaid guidelines. Immediately report incidents and/or emergencies to supervisors or delegated authorities. Assist in the formulation, management, revision, and follow‑through of each client’s Plan of Care to ensure treatment is carried out and good health, safety, and security are prioritized. Follow proper medication management guidelines and assist in the monitoring and documentation of medication procedures. Organize and carry out recreational activities for clients. Model appropriate behavior for clients through proper physical appearance, adherence to FCC’s dress code, and respectful conduct. Treat clients and their families with dignity and respect, representing FCC’s mission in all actions. Assist in the maintenance of FCC facilities and grounds, keeping them clean, orderly, and functional. Assist in the maintenance of FCC vehicles, ensuring cleanliness and regular preventive maintenance. Attend required training and pursue continuing education. Provide proof of current liability insurance. Undergo periodic driving tests and demonstrate proficiency in operating passenger vans; employees may also be required to use personal vehicles for transporting participants, with proper liability coverage. Confidentiality Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding Friendship Community Care, Inc. and its clients in compliance with the Friendship Community Care Non‑Disclosure Policy and HIPAA regulations. Quality Assurance & Compliance Adhere to FCC’s Code of Conduct and compliance investigation procedures as outlined in new employee training. Maintain and complete consumers’ progress notes daily or as required on prescribed forms. Maintain consumers’ records weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly, filing information as prescribed by funding sources. Work Environment The work environment includes moderate noise levels. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED; or at least two years of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals. Valid driver’s license. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and employees. Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rate, ratio, percentage, bar graphs. Reasoning ability to apply common sense in interpreting written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions. Physical demands: use hands and arms repeatedly; stand, walk, reach, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift or move up to 100 pounds; visual abilities for close vision, color vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.
