About the Position

We are seeking a locums General Surgery Physician to join a surgical program in Paducah, Kentucky. This is a full-time opportunity with a unique 26-weeks-per-year schedule , allowing for an excellent work-life balance while providing comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: 26 weeks per year

• Block Schedule: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off preferred; longer or shorter blocks may be considered

• Daily Consults: Approximately 1–2

• Average Operations: Approximately 1 per day

• APP Support: None initially

• ED Annual Volume: Approximately 39,680 visits

• Projected Annual Consults: Approximately 492, with volume expected to increase

• Projected Annual Operations: Approximately 359, with volume expected to increase

Requirements :

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Comfortable providing independent surgical consultation and operative care

• Ability to work effectively in a developing surgical program

• Strong clinical and communication skills

• Willingness to participate in a flexible block schedule
