Wound Care Licensed Practical Nurse PRN

Job Title

This job involves carrying out hospital/nursing policies, procedures, and standards. It includes assessing the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans, performing initial nursing assessments, communicating findings with assigned physicians, and assessing wound stages and obtaining measurements. The role also involves applying topical wound care and associated wound management products, working collaboratively with the patient care team, recommending associated services to improve wound healing outcomes, and educating patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, pressure ulcer care, and other best practices to promote healing and wellness.

The job also requires coordinating with physicians to expedite wound healing and avoid skin breakdown, tracking treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines, and providing patient updates to primary care providers, case managers, and physicians. Any other duties assigned as needed to help drive the organizations mission and abide by its values are also part of the role.

Qualifications

Required Licenses & Certifications:

• Basic Life Support
• Licensed Practical Nurse

Preferred Licenses & Certifications:

• Advanced Life Support
• De-escalation
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support
