Job Description Job Description Quality Control Assistant Location: Buchanan, NY Pay Rate: 25.00 Kelly® is seeking a motivated and dedicated Quality Control Assistant to support manufacturing operations. Schedule & Training Work Days: Monday – Saturday (occasional Wednesday off, as operations allow) Training Period: Monday to Saturday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (first two weeks) Shifts After Training: May remain on day shift or transition to evening shift (e.g., starting at 3:00 pm or later), with occasional slight adjustments to fill coverage gaps (advance notice provided). What You’ll Do: Report directly to the Quality Supervisor on the production floor. Routinely cut and collect wallboard samples using a utility knife (wearing cut gloves) at regular intervals throughout your shift. Accurately measure wallboard samples using a tape measure and log results. Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols and proper protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Perform routine physical tasks, including walking, standing, lifting (up to 20 lbs., with assistance as needed), bending, and twisting. Contribute to both day and evening shifts, with flexible schedules depending on business needs. What’s Needed to Succeed: Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is required. Demonstrated ability to use a standard tape measure is required. Knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred. Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE at all times.
