Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer

Job Description Express Employment Professionals has partnered with an Accounting Firm seeking a Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer to start ASAP in the Cheektowaga area! Hours: 8am-5pm / FT or PT, semi-flexible, hours may vary come tax season Pay: $26-29/hour Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer: Utilize Lacerte tax software to prepare and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses Reconcile statements and other miscellaneous bookkeeping responsibilities for select clients Filing sales tax and advising clients on filing PTET returns using the NYS DTF website Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial documents and answer any tax-related or bookkeeping questions Stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards Complete all other bookkeeping tasks as needed Experience Required of the Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer: 3 years of experience in Accounting / Bookkeeping 2+ years of experience in tax preparation Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns Knowledge of various tax forms and schedules Familiarity with 10-key typing for efficient data entry Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients Ability to work independently and meet deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr
