About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Emergency Department preferred License: Any active state RN or compact license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Must be able to read and interpret telemetry independently - Previous travel experience required - Must have experience with charting systems, preferably Epic Description: Traveler's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible to apply. Position available in the Emergency Department. The shift is 3x12's nights from 1900 to 0730, with every other weekend and holiday required. Minimum requirements include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications. Strongly preferred candidates will have 1 year of Emergency Department experience and previous travel experience. Candidates must be able to read and interpret telemetry independently. Candidates should possess skills in abdominal pain management, acute psychosis, arterial line management, and more. Experience with drug overdoses, gunshot wounds, head injuries, seizures, triage, and managing violent behavior is also required. Daily census information includes a diverse range of patient age groups: neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit typically handles a high volume of visits per day. All candidates will need to complete lab work within a specified time frame after signing and undergo an EKG/Dysrhythmia exam. Every other weekend and every other holiday work is required for this position.
