Bank Teller / Credit Union Teller
Location: Sugar Land, TX
Job Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Teller to support daily branch operations for a credit union in Sugar Land, TX. This position requires strong cash-handling skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional member service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process member deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions.
- Verify checks, endorsements, signatures, and account balances.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions accurately at the end of each shift.
- Process mobile deposits and place holds when necessary.
- Assist members with questions regarding products and services.
- Promote credit union products, including loans, certificates, and other financial services.
- Maintain accurate transactional records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support branch operations and maintain a professional member experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Teller experience in a bank or credit union.
- Previous cash-handling experience required.
- Strong mathematical and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Teller Cash Recycler experience is a plus.
- DNA system experience is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Credit check required prior to hire.
- No bankruptcies or active collections.
- Must be self-sufficient and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
