Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) will provide high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing various cardiovascular surgeries and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions during the postoperative period.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a CVICU is required.
• Current RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required; CCRN preferred.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
