Responsibilities MICU Overview The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at The George Washington University Hospital provides expert care for patients with complex, acute, and life‑threatening medical conditions. Our team treats a wide range of diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, multi‑organ dysfunction, and complex infectious diseases. Critical Thinking: Manage complex cases including multi‑organ failure, sepsis, and respiratory distress. Advocacy: Support patients and families through critical illness with empathy and education. Quality Improvement: Contribute to improving ICU outcomes and best practices. Qualifications Requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or currently enrolled Washington, D.C.
