Medical Laboratory Technician - PRN

Labcorp seeks a PRN Clinical Laboratory Technician Generalist for Ascension St. Thomas Hickman in Centerville, Tennessee. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in a high-volume environment with flexible, as-needed scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
• Perform preventive maintenance, quality control procedures and document results
• Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls as needed

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Minimum 3 months clinical laboratory testing experience or MLT degree
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
