You will:Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementAssign workloads, monitor daily activity, and ensure compliance with AP policies and internal controlsOversee the AP portfolio to ensure timely payments, accurate application, and prompt resolution of vendor disputesMonitor AP aging reports and implement strategies to resolve outstanding itemsManage third-party AP integrations and automation tools to maximize operational efficiencyPartner with key vendors to resolve disputed charges and maintain strong relationshipsDevelop and track KPIs including Days Payables Outstanding (DPO), Early Payment Discounts, and Invoice Exception RatesConduct monthly reviews of outstanding payments and portfolio risks with finance leadershipIdentify root causes of departmental issues and recommend process improvementsCollaborate cross-functionally to support organizational financial goalsPromote and enforce all health and safety policies to maintain a safe work environmentWhat You BringEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Five or more years of progressive accounting or accounts payable experience required. Strong analytical skills and experience monitoring AP metrics and driving performance improvements preferred.Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver's License required for inter-company travel; must meet company insurability standardsLeadership Experience: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams while managing workflows, employee performance, and departmental accountability in a fast-paced environment.Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, negotiation, and vendor relationship skills. Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems, AP automation platforms, and reporting tools required.Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
