Speech Language Pathologist

Overview Innovative Therapy Center (Innovative Speech and Swallowing Partners) is a private practice located in Uniontown, OH. It began with speech, language, voice, feeding and swallowing services for both adult and pediatric clients and has grown into a multi-disciplinary practice offering speech therapy, occupational therapy, and counseling services. Services are provided at our clinic in Uniontown, Ohio, with some work at select daycare centers and schools in surrounding areas. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and knowledgeable Speech Language Pathologist to join our energetic outpatient private practice in a role that can be negotiable to meet school-age client needs. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competency Current state licensure Experience in pediatrics a plus Access to CEU funds at 1 year anniversary Benefits package available for certain positions Flexible hour options with some stipulations Responsibilities and Duties Provides speech therapy services to clients and initiates referrals when appropriate. Conducts screenings of potential clients. Evaluates clients for treatment planning and implementation. All services must be provided in accordance with the standards of practice and ethics of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as well as the Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology. Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to clients, family, and other members of the team in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Develops treatment plans including short and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals. Coordinates treatment plan with client, family and other necessary professionals. Implements and conducts treatment as outlined in treatment plan. Monitors client’s progress regularly and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with treatment plan. Communicates regularly with client/caregiver to promote carryover treatment plan at home, school, and/or community environments as indicated. Documents results of client’s assessment, treatment, follow-up and termination of services in a timely manner (within 24 hours of services being provided). Adapts treatment to meet the individual needs of the client. Recommends and obtains appropriate equipment to improve client’s communication. Instructs client, family and necessary professionals in use of augmentative communication devices when deemed appropriate. Instructs client, family and team in appropriate speech-language activities and/or home programs to allow carry-over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities. Reviews the quality and appropriateness of the total services delivered and of individual speech therapy programs for effectiveness and efficiency, using predetermined criteria. Participates in client, family, and team education. Attends meetings as required. Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development. Records billable treatment times the day of service. Provides treatment in accordance with established standards of practice. Maintains positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, daycare/school facility staff, and family members. Projects a positive and professional image at all times.
