Job Summary The Fa brication/Assembly Inspector is responsible for ensuring quality standards are met in aerospace airframe assembly processes. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, using precision measuring instruments, following inspection procedures, and maintaining certifications. Inspectors play a critical role in verifying tools, preparing quality records, and supporting production processes across multiple shifts . Key Responsibilities I nterpret drawings and specifications using inspection manuals, shop mathematics, and precision measuring instruments Follow inspection procedures to accept or reject processes, parts, and assemblies Verify tool qualifications and ensure compliance with standards Prepare and maintain quality records for inspections and audits Support production processes with working knowledge of company policies and procedures Communicate effectively with team members and maintain accurate documentation Perform across inspector job codes as required Maintain certifications and complete required training/testing Required Qualifications Prompt and reliable attendance Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications Availability to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and periods of heavy overtime Minimum of 5 years aerospace airframe assembly inspection experience Strong blueprint reading skills Proficiency in MS Office and SAP Experience writing NCRs (Tags) Preferred Qualifications Prior SAP experience Previous Client or Boeing experience Boeing 737 Airframe/Fuselage experience Certifications & Testing Requirements Inspectors must obtain their certification stamp within a set timeframe after training. Required testing includes: Assembly Sealing (written and practical) Post Assembly Sealing (written and practical) Electrical Bond and Ground – All meters (written) Electrical Bond Final Inspection (written and practical) Precision Measuring Tools (written and practical) Skin Quality Inspection (written) Additional required classes and testing: Re searching and Creating NCRs in MES Solid Rivet Inspection Blind Fastener Inspection Hex-Drive Bolt Inspection Lockbolt Inspection Bolt and Nut Inspection Fastener Inspection on Compos ites Education: High School
