Contracts Manager / Contract Manager – Data Center Construction

South Bend, IN | Mission Critical Construction | General Contractor | GC

We are working with a General Contractor delivering a major 350,000 sq. ft. ground-up data center project in the South Bend, Indiana area and are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager / Contract Manager to join the project team.

This role would suit someone with a strong background in construction contracts, subcontract management, commercial management, contract administration, procurement, change management and claims on large-scale data center or mission critical construction projects.

Recent data center construction experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage construction contracts, subcontracts and subcontractor agreements
\n
• Lead contract administration across the project lifecycle
\n
• Review scopes of work, contract terms, commercial terms and subcontract requirements
\n
• Support procurement, bid packages, subcontractor selection and contract award
\n
• Manage change orders, variations, claims and contractual notices
\n
• Track contract compliance, scope gaps and commercial risk
\n
• Review subcontractor performance against contractual obligations
\n
• Support commercial negotiations with subcontractors and vendors
\n
• Manage contract documentation, insurance, bonds and required compliance records
\n
• Work closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, Superintendents, Commercial Managers and Procurement teams
\n
• Support cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
\n
• Identify contractual risks and support risk mitigation strategies
\n
• Support dispute resolution, claims management and commercial closeout
\n
• Manage final accounts, contract closeout and subcontractor reconciliation
\n

This is a full-time, site-based opportunity in the South Bend area working with a General Contractor on a major data center construction project.
