About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required, travel experience preferred License: Valid state license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS Must-Have: IV start experience Experience with Meditech charting system preferred Description: Night shift nursing position available. Candidates are needed to start as soon as possible. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required. Experience in travel nursing is preferred. A valid state license is mandatory. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required. Skills required include starting IVs and managing patient care in emergency situations. The facility is a Magnet-designated, Major Teaching, and Level I Trauma Center. The unit provides care to a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Nurses will work in a fast-paced environment with an expected patient ratio of 4 per nurse during night shifts. Some weekends and holidays will be included in the schedule. Candidates should be comfortable with floating to other units as necessary. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support teams for comprehensive patient care. Nurses will manage a variety of clinical situations including trauma, acute illnesses, and emergency conditions. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively within a team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Experience in managing critical care patients and emergency procedures is necessary.
