Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Staff RN in Labor and Delivery provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. They collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical assessment.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures related to labor and delivery.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth processes, pain management options, and postpartum care.
• Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly.
• Supervise and coordinate with nursing assistants and other team members to ensure quality care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Possess an Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
• Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Previous experience in Labor and Delivery or maternal-child nursing preferred.
