Senior Data ScientistWe are looking for two Senior Data Scientists with experience implementing AI and Machine Learning techniques from the ground up. You will be part of a team of two Data Scientists exploring opportunities to implement Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies in our environment.ResponsibilitiesBuild out an AI/ML sandbox for conducting Data Science experiments.Identify applications/processes that could benefit from AI/ML and implement those technologies.Educate existing staff on basic algorithms along with best practices and pitfalls of each.Create a roadmap for the future state of our platform.RequirementsBS/MS degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc. or equivalent experience.Excellent knowledge of best practices in the fields of AI/ML.Financial Services experience a plus.Great analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution, and implement it using advanced quantitative methods.Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.3-5 “Nice to Have”Experience with general finance, derivatives, alt’s, and market data.Experience5 to 7 yearsTop Three Must-HavesData science experience, AI and machine learning fundamentals, and data pipelines.Business Unit SupportAll of IMS Irvine – multiple business unitsProject SupportNo, multiple workstreamsRequired Software SkillsBasic computer skills such as MS Office, Visio, etc.Interview ProcessThe candidate will most likely go through two, maybe three, rounds; presumably one interviewer at a time. Ideally we’ll have as much overlap as possible but it’s not a requirement that they work the exact same hours.
