CPA Tax Manager

To support the corporate finance division, the full-time remote CPA Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance functions, manage tax return preparation and reviews, and provide leadership to junior tax professionals while implementing strategies to reduce tax liabilities. Key Responsibilities Oversee preparation and review of various federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and providing feedback for ongoing learning Supervise the preparation of complex income tax provisions and analyze effective tax rates and deferred taxes for management Conduct tax audits, ensuring adequate resources are available to respond to inquiries from taxing authorities, while mentoring junior staff Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area; Master of Taxation or JD preferred CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred Five years of experience in federal and state tax compliance and provision Proficiency in tax reporting software and tools Strong leadership skills with a proven record of team development Virtual Vocations Inc
