Key Responsibilities Lead and grow the electrical engineering department — staffing, structure, succession planning, and setting the standards everyone else works to. Serve as Engineer of Record on complex electrical projects across commercial, institutional, healthcare, higher education, and government facilities. Design and document power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, emergency power, and critical systems from concept through construction. Partner with executive leadership on strategic goals for the discipline and represent the practice in client meetings and industry events. Coordinate across architecture and MEP teams throughout design development, resolving complex technical challenges as they arise. Oversee project delivery across multiple market sectors, ensuring electrical scopes land on time and within budget. Support business development — proposals, pursuits, and identifying new market opportunities and service offerings. Skills & Experience 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including leadership roles. Active PE license in Maryland, Virginia, and/or Washington DC. Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IECC, ASHRAE, and local jurisdictional codes. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical calculation tools; experience coordinating within BIM and multidisciplinary design teams. Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and influence at the executive level. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
