Construction Project Manager

Overview Mavin Project Managers serve as a guide to our internal team, our clients and our vendors — providing a consistent, customer‑centric experience from concept to completion. They lead the overall development and construction phases for designated projects, ensuring corporate, client and project goals are accomplished on time and within budget. PMs create a team environment, set high performance standards, empower team members and oversee expectations. Characteristics Highly‑Organized, Self‑Motivated and Driven to Succeed Values relationships with all team members, customers and vendors Team Leader and Builder Safety‑Conscious Committed to continuous learning and self‑improvement Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field Minimum 5 years experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager Familiarity with industry‑specific software for project management, accounting, scheduling, estimating, takeoff, and BIM Licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) Physical Requirements Able to lift 25 lbs. Responsibilities General Attend and participate fully in internal project meetings M3 Weekly Meetings Quarterly Meetings Strategic Planning Meetings Leadership & Team Development Meetings Client Relations Contracts Business Development Ongoing Warranty Management Administrative Prepare all meeting minutes * Report monthly on all projects * Pre‑Construction Respond to RFPs and attend interviews Preparation, participation and leadership in meetings with potential clients Pricing Oversight: preliminary budgets, bid analysis, project estimating Initial project planning with owners Design Oversight: coordinate and lead design meetings Manage costs Municipal coordination and permit application Permitting errands * Procurement Submittals Subcontractor solicitation/management Subcontract awards / scopes of work submittals Negotiation Submittal admin * Review Define scope by site walk‑throughs, scope review and definition materials Construction Utilize CMiC to manage projects, including initial budget set‑up and consistent data input Develop and manage master project schedule Manage site plans and provide consistent updates Contribute to weekly schedules (Superintendents drive schedule process) Lead project kick‑off meeting and owner/architect/contractor meetings Oversee subcontractor meetings (led by superintendent) Manage non‑financial project controls Maintain a safe work environment Track status of job materials Ensure work is completed at the highest quality Manage all project documents (responsibility may fall to project coordinator) Project financial management (payment & cost management) Request for Information (RFI) Potential Change Item (PCI) Change Orders (CO) Invoice approvals Billings Cost to Complete Issue resolution Proactively troubleshoot scheduling issues Proactively problem‑solve Project closeout Closeout administration * As‑built drawings Operations & Maintenance Manual (O&M) Punch list (shared responsibility with superintendent) Owner trainings Documentation Additional Responsibilities / Possible Assignments Attend industry‑specific events as needed Assist with construction‑specific hiring process, including interviews and onboarding Impact (Value & How You Make a Difference) Serve as guide and leader for internal team, subcontractors, vendors and clients from concept to completion Maintain a team‑oriented environment and positively lead through challenges and obstacles Drive overall success of each project; ultimately accountable for project outcomes Maintain positive relationships with past clients, leading to additional work and ongoing maintenance Provide leadership, mentorship and knowledge transfer to grow the company from within Add to company culture and improve overall organizational health Generate approximately $10 million in revenue annually Constantly analyze and improve the Mavin Way Reporting Structure Reports to: Director of Operations or Director of Sales (switches annually) Direct reports: Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman #J-18808-Ljbffr
