Hourly Wage Estimate: $58.00 - $82.00 / hour Job Summary The Registered Nurse functions as a member of the patient care team, providing competent care to patients according to their individual needs. The nurse coordinates patient care and delegates responsibilities to team members within their scope of practice and competencies. Responsibilities Assess patients initially on admission to the unit and continually according to patient needs, condition change, or unit/department standards. Serve as an advocate for patient/family/social worker regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care. Develop, implement, and modify the patient’s plan of care according to the patient’s progress. Demonstrate knowledge of specific disease process treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity, patient’s needs, condition, impairment, or disability. Review physician orders and accurately transcribe to MAR. Initiate STAT orders immediately. Assess, collaborate, report, and coordinate the patient’s transfer or discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge or transfer to another level of care with the other members of the health care team and patient’s family/social worker. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Current RN License by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of California. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS. Current American Heart Association ACLS. Dysrhythmia certification required. National RN Certification preferred. Minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience in IMC/Progressive Care/Step Down required. Critical Care or Telemetry experience preferred.
