Hours:49 hours per week, Mon-Sat 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Operate tractors, combines, trucks, and other farm equipment to plant, cultivate, spray, and harvest soybeans, corn, wheat, and sugar beets. Haul crops to storage facilities, perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs, prepare and maintain fields and farm sites, and assist with spraying, mowing, seeding, and other general farm duties. Outdoor work performed in varying weather conditions and requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and safe equipment operation. Must be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively with supervisors, and comply with all safety procedures and employer policies. Must speak and understand English. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing may occur upon reasonable suspicion of use. Workers with a clean driving record and insurable driver’s license may be required to operate company vehicles and transport workers between worksites.

Minimum Education Required

No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

Minimum Requirements: One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience performing the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain an appropriate driver’s license following hire and maintain a clean driving record. Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and perform repetitive movements, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending, and pushing or pulling in extreme temperature conditions. Employer-paid post-hire random drug testing may be required, and testing positive or failure to comply may result in termination of employment.

Additional Compensation

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
