CDL A Transit Driver - Doubles Endorsement Required

Location: 31 Peck Lane, Newtown CT

Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your class A.

Must have prior experience operating double trailers.

No Auto Restriction; must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission.

In this position, you will be transporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit. Night shifts mean you'll be home every day, and there's not touch freight required. Feel safe and secure at a company that values and respects you. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply!

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday Start times range between 7-9:30pm and work until finished

Pay: Component Pay: Pay per day and per trip

Drivers are averaging $42 per hour!!

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your class A
• Doubles (T) endorsement required
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
