Inventory Specialist

ExoTerra is a world leader in solar electric propulsion systems and space exploration satellites. The company develops Hall Thrusters, propulsion modules, microsatellites and launch vehicle upper stages. We have been awarded multiple propulsion module and satellite contracts. Job Summary We are seeking a full-time Inventory Specialist. The hired employee will be responsible for ensuring inventory count is up to date, logging all inventory into the ERP software program, and ensuring that quantities of products, materials, and supplies are maintained at all times. This also includes tracking inventory movements, and coordinating with other departments to ensure inventory is received, stored, and shipped in a timely manner. Additionally, the hired employee will help with the transportation, loading, and unloading of parts between two facilities. This position is open to candidates ranging from entry-level to experienced candidates. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits Collaborate with purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials Coordinate with other departments to ensure inventory is available for production Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize efficiency Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and work with appropriate teams to prevent future occurrences Assist in the development of inventory reports and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Communicate inventory status and issues to management and other relevant stakeholders Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements related to inventory management Required Qualifications and Skills Experience in manufacturing inventory management Experience in aerospace inventory management Required Qualifications and Skills Experience with kitting processes and procedures Ability to work with computerized inventory systems Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift heavy items Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions Knowledge of inventory control best practices Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong problem-solving skills Eligible to work in the United States Desired Qualifications and Skills Experience working with CostPoint Experience 2+ years inventory experience Education GED or equivalent Schedule 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Full time Some overtime may be needed Export Control / Compliance Requirements To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
