Senior General Liability Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior General Liability Attorney in Houston, Texas. This role offers an opportunity to work with prominent national clients and manage substantial litigation responsibilities. The position provides a flexible hybrid work arrangement. Duties Independently manage a complex defense litigation caseload from inception through resolution. Develop and implement case strategy, including motion practice and trial preparation. Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda in state and federal courts. Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and collaborate with expert witnesses. Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings. Provide strategic legal advice and regular case updates to clients. Collaborate with partners and colleagues on complex litigation matters. Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff. Participate in trial preparation, including witness and exhibit management. Maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality legal work. Requirements JD from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in Texas. 8+ years of defense litigation experience. Experience with personal injury, general liability, and transportation matters preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Client‑facing experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Legal project management experience is helpful. First‑chair trial experience a plus. Education JD from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in Texas. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage complex litigation cases. Experience in legal project management.
