Job Description
This role involves hands-on production work at an individual workbench, assembling customer orders using a variety of hand and power tools. You will measure, cut, drill, and fasten materials with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and consistent effort. Success in this position relies on careful attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently while meeting production expectations.
Responsibilities

• Assemble customer orders at a dedicated workbench using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as required.
• Read and interpret tape measurements accurately to cut and assemble materials to precise specifications.
• Operate saws, cordless drills, staple guns, and other tools safely and efficiently to complete production tasks.
• Lift, move, and position materials weighing up to 50-75 lbs as part of daily production activities.
• Follow detailed instructions and production standards to ensure high-quality finished products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
• Work collaboratively with a small production team to meet daily and weekly output goals.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
• Report to the assigned supervisor for direction, feedback, and updates on production priorities.
• Identify and communicate any issues with materials, tools, or finished products to help maintain quality and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of solid production, construction, machine operation, or general labor experience with a stable work history.
• Proven ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, including saws, cordless drills, and staple guns.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for cutting and assembly tasks.
• Comfortable lifting and handling 50-75 lbs as part of regular job duties.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, clean finishes, and quality workmanship.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, materials, and mechanical processes.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic, with a willingness to come in consistently and work hard.
• Ability to work in a production or construction-type environment, following safety guidelines and procedures.
• Willingness to learn new tasks, tools, and processes as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction, assembly, finish work, or machine operation.
• Experience in general labor or production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain solid tenure in previous roles with limited job changes.
• Positive attitude and strong desire to contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment
You will work in a small team of approximately 10-20 people in a production setting, focusing on bench-based assembly work. The schedule runs from 6:00 to 2:30, providing a consistent daytime shift. Safety is a priority, with eye protection and high-visibility vests required while on the floor; steel-toed shoes are not required. You will report directly to a supervisor for guidance and production direction. The environment involves regular use of hand tools and power tools, handling materials, and performing physically active tasks throughout the shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Saco, ME.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
