Position: Bakery Clerk

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our team. The Bakery Clerk is responsible for assisting customers, preparing and packaging baked goods, stocking displays, maintaining product freshness, and ensuring the bakery area remains clean and organized. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Package, label, and price bakery products.
• Stock and replenish bakery displays throughout the day.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Assist with preparing baked goods, frosting, decorating, or finishing products as needed.
• Keep workstations, display cases, and equipment clean and sanitized.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Operate cash register or POS system when required.
• Receive deliveries and organize inventory.
• Report low inventory, damaged products, or equipment issues to management.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous bakery, grocery, food service, or retail experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Work Environment:

• Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Exposure to ovens, refrigerators, and bakery equipment.
• Requires adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

Pay: Based on experience.

Schedule: Full-time available. Day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
