About the Role Under the direction of the Lead Software Developer, the Software Developer 2 will play a key role in the continued development and enhancement of our applications. A developer at this level has become more skilled and proficient in application development and design, expanding beyond a single scope to gain a deeper understanding of complex system architecture. This role will contribute to the success of cross‑functional initiatives, bringing technical insight, problem‑solving capabilities, and consistent follow‑through to drive quality solutions forward. What You'll Do Utilize C#/.NET Core, SQL database, TypeScript with React and Microsoft Azure Add new features to the product and improve existing functionality through clean, well‑documented code Write tests and documentation to keep up with an evolving codebase Proactively update lead developer(s) on status and elevate when appropriate Recognize patterns or issues in existing code and propose refactoring Interact with the full tech stack, from the database to the UI and application integrations with other solutions Assist in the estimation of high‑level requirements and define tasks during the planning process alongside senior developers, project managers and business analysts Interface with QA and Support teams or other internal stakeholders, troubleshooting defects, workflows, and client issues Help junior team members and new hires Adhere to DevOps best practices Stay informed of new technologies or industry trends that may be considered for implementation Travel to orientation, conferences or company events, and other onsite meetings as required Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience Software development experience in JS, SQL, and an OO language, preferably C# Knowledge of basic application design and architecture Understanding of relational database principles and how to use them Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other server and hosting environments and deployment Ability to explain decisions made in the development process Ability to define test cases and write code with them in mind Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality code Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and a willingness to give and receive constructive feedback An insatiable curiosity and drive to learn Ability to work both independently and on a team toward a collective goal Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientation Ability to travel up to 10% annually Location & Remote Work This role can be performed 100% virtually anywhere in the United States, in accordance with our Remote Work Policy. Salary The annual base salary range for this full‑time role is $80,000 – $95,000 USD, plus bonus, benefits, perks and community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job‑related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
