The mandate is to define and lead large programs and other initiatives which have significant impact on the corporate functions at MizuhoKey Responsibilities include:Defining key initiatives to ensure bank is in line with regulatory expectations and industry best practiceDriving the delivery of key initiatives from design through to delivery including development of target state business processes, build and adoption of technology solutionsEnsure target end state is delivered inclusive of governance change, business process re-design and appropriate controlsLeading the translation of business needs into technology solutions and data requirementsWorking across functions and legal entities to structure the work-efforts required for successful deliveryUnderstanding cross-functional impact of proposed technology solutions and identifying areas of efficiencyProviding appropriate information share and updates with senior management and other key stakeholdersOversight of program and project level resources including those provided by 3rd party providersManagement of the career growth of Mizuho employees who are under direct supervisionRequirements:Significant experience and track record of delivery of major initiatives at large and complex financial institutions. This includes how to structure major initiatives, project planning, budgeting and resource allocationDeep understanding of cross-functional processes as well as the technologies and data which enable theseStrong knowledge and experience of regulatory change managementStrong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skillsProven experience of team leadership, career development of others and developing individuals in the program and change management spaceExceptional stakeholder management skills including experience at performing this across multiple functions, committees and areasSuperior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staffTolerance and understanding in multi cultures.The expected base salary ranges from $200k-$255k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
