About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year of Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year of Hospice Experience License: Must have license in hand, no exceptions Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: - Proficient in HomeCare HomeBase EMR and used it within the last 6 months - Proficient in OASIS and used it within the last 6 months Description: Provides, coordinates, and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician orders based on agency policies and procedures. Responsible for applying the nursing process competently. Supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses. Home visits and periodic office meetings are required. Reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance are necessary. The average number of patients seen per day is 5-8. Productivity expectations include 30 points per week, with various visit types and activities holding different point values. Guarantee of hours is not provided; contractors may be floated to nearby clinics if patient census is low. Types of cases include start of care, wound care, and follow-up visits. First-time travelers are not accepted; recent specialty experience is required. Weekend requirements vary per location and specialty. On-call requirements vary and should be discussed during the interview. Traveling up to 75 miles from the designated care center is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the IRS standard rate. Local applicants are accepted at the same rate. Delayed documentation may affect billing and follow-up patient care. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the patient appointment. No guaranteed hours are offered, and clinicians are expected to meet weekly productivity expectations. Clinicians should be open to on-call rotations.
