Charge Nurse

The Charge Nurse provides functional direction to members of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes while optimizing available resources, including delivery of evidenced base care, staffing, and care coordination.

Qualifications

Professional/Educational:

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license. BSN Preferred.
• Previous experience in a Registered Nurse Role.
• Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Maintains required competencies/inservices and attends department meetings.
• Delegation, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Certified by the American Heart Association in ACLS, preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Personal:

• Maintains good physical and emotional well being.
• Possesses the ability to work under tension.
• Role models the Standards of Conduct.
• Evidence of knowledge and ability to use proper channels of communication.
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
• Understands acuity and staffing in their area and adjacent areas.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
