The Systems Administrator/Infrastructure Engineer will ensure system reliability, security, performance, and scalability while supporting critical business applications and infrastructure modernization initiatives.ResponsibilitiesManage and support Development, Test, and Production server environments, ensuring high availability and performancePerform regular server maintenance, including patching, updates, and remediation of security vulnerabilitiesConduct monthly server patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardeningInstall, configure, and maintain enterprise applications, including Microsoft SQL ServerAdminister and support multiple database instances across several serversPerform SQL database maintenance, including clean-up, re-indexing, and performance optimizationConfigure and manage websites using F5 load balancersConduct security assessments, audits, and remediation activitiesPerform daily audits of Windows and SQL logs to ensure compliance and system integrityCoordinate server, network, storage, security, and enterprise application activitiesSupport continuous deployment, troubleshooting, and release management for DOE owned applicationsMaintain configuration management standards and recommend architecture and infrastructure improvementsRequirementsUS Citizenship is requiredA minimum of 5 years of related professional experienceProven experience as a Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar roleStrong expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and domain managementHands-on experience with SQL Server administration and optimizationExperience with AWS cloud migration and infrastructure managementFamiliarity with enterprise security practices, vulnerability management, and complianceExperience supporting enterprise applications and CI/CD environmentsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skillsEducation: Bachelor's DegreeCompensation: Includes paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, 401k matching, life insurance, health, and dental benefits.This position is not available for Corp-to-Corp or 3rd party sourcing.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
