Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate – Order Selector plays a crucial role helping to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately fulfilling orders, loading trucks to meet dispatch times, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment at the end of each shift. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and attention to detail. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, and the physical capability to lift up to 50lbs consistently. This position requires availability to work some holidays, occasional weekends, and is performance based, hourly non-exempt. We offer paid holidays, vacations, health insurance, vision, dental, and 401K. Attendance & timeliness are extremely Important! This position has an early shift that starts at 6:00 am at the latest.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         Accurately selects food and paper products based on customer orders from all warehouse temperature zones (dry, refrigerated, and frozen). 

·         Labels, palletizes, stages, and loads product according to company standards and customer specifications.

·         Collaboratively works with team members to accurately complete the loading of trucks by route and stop sequence to meet scheduled dispatch times.

• Follows all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment (i.e. ride-on pallet jack, forklift) and handling products.

·         Completes and records daily inspection of assigned equipment.

·         Reports any known equipment issues to the Warehouse Coordinator.

·         Helps the receivers in preparing the warehouse for next-day operation by removing shrink wrap, organizing product to support First-In, First-Out (FIFO), and clearing debris.   

·         Assists the warehouse team with cleaning and organizing the warehouse at the end of each shift.

Other Duties as Assigned:

·         Works directly with the Purchasing Department and/or Customer Service to perform inventory counts.   

Other Duties as Assigned continued:

·         Checks in delivery drivers and coordinates with the receiving team to begin unloading procedures.

·         When receiving, verify incoming products against purchase orders (POs) to ensure accuracy in item count, description, and quality. Reports discrepancies to receiving team and/or Purchasing Department.

·         Reports any inventory/receiving discrepancies and investigates issues.

·         Supports the Customer Service department by assisting with customer pick-ups and late add-ons.

Customer Service:

·         Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering accurate and timely order fulfillment.

·         Drives customer satisfaction through precise order fulfillment and careful product handling to prevent damage.

Schedule

·         8-hour shifts (5-6 am start time – subject to change)

·         Day shift

·         Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)

·         Availability to work holidays

Work Environment

The employee works in a warehouse environment that has multiple temperature zones (dry, refrigerated, and frozen. The noise level in the work environment can be quiet to moderately loud.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this job include, but are not limited to:

·         Constantly required to read, talk, and listen.

·         Constantly required to stand and walk. 

·         Constantly required to use eyes, hands, and arms to operate warehouse equipment.

·         Frequently required to stand and walk. 

·         Frequently required to lift to 5-50 pounds

·         Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
